When it comes to dating fighters, my advice is simply not to do it. They are cheap, preoccupied, and think their career is the most important thing in the world, even though they make next to nothing.

This may sound ridiculous, but play UFC Undisputed 2009. The tutorial section is excellent, and it will really give you a good introduction to all of the different fight styles and moves.

Next time you're at a bar and the guy next to you feels the need to explain MMA to you, ask him this question:
"What's your opinion on the Gi vs. No Gi debate in BJJ training? I believe that training in a Gi fosters a more patient and technical fighter. Do you agree?"
That should shut him up for awhile.

Just because you are a female and an MMA fan doesn't mean you have to be a fan of female MMA.

If you're going to a live event, get there a day early. Most events allow fans to attend the weigh-ins for free.
