What an interesting night of fights that was. I know I heard some complaints but I was thoroughly entertained by the fights at UFC 143. The main event most certainly generated a lot of tweets from fighters and there were a lot of other tweets throughout the other fights, too. Here is what everyone was saying.

February is upon us with it's freshly squeezed tantilizing tidbits of gambling debauchery! Mmm tidbits. There's nothing better than tiddle bittle of excitement violently mashed into your good morning acai bowl. A warm glass of pee simply doesn't leave you nearly as satisfied, I'm sorry Mr. Machida, but this is the truth. Just ask Gal's Guide's very own contributing member Balrog, who blasted through the tidbits of the competition to become January's Betting Fix weiner winner! No bossum hugs for Balrog, but hey! He did get to choose my lovely new signature. He claims it has to do with Black History month, but I believe this is just a classy cover to sniff butts. But then again, I'm a strong theorist that any sort of reference to history is simply a means to sniff butts. Being in the middle of a twin-induced bossum hug of glorious glory is pretty sweet. But for our friend Balrog, sniffing butts reigns supreme.

Don't be intimidated by the Bal of Rog's massive penchant for butts and good betting choices, fore in these acts there is always a downfall. Maybe someone farts? Maybe someone pulls a Matt Serra? Maybe someone pulls a Matt Serra by farting? Surely there shall be a moment of opportunity to surpass the great Balrog's uber glory and dethrone him from the Betting Fix throne of bad assery. And by throne, we mean stool. And by stool, we don't mean sniffing butts.

This week we have a fabtaculouso card with UFC 143! There are tons of terribly hard fights to call here, and a few duh choices that will most likely end in spectacular upsets due to me calling them duh choices. What's there not to like about that? Total, utter betting shenanigans! That's how we like it, so roll up your hypothetical sleeve, pull down your proverbial pants, and prepare to give it or take- cuz this is the Betting Fix.

*Sunday Evening Edit* We had a very close main event this week both in the octagon and out. Yes, I'm leading into this week's scores with that cheesy clique of an intro- deal with it. Miss Donna of Gal's Guide to MMA Royalty through a monkey in Bloody Elbow's elite blogger Tim Burke's wrench (or something like that). Donna's 13.75 units matched Tim's 13.75 units with authority, bringing a drop dead tie to start February's madness. We'll have to defer to next week's UFC on Fuel to see who comes out on this one on top. Kat managed to add an extra unit to walk away with 11 this week, while the rest of us were lucky to walk home with any at all.

If you missed the weigh-ins for UFC 143 yesterday, you are in luck because you can catch them right here! The first video below is a highlight from the main event weigh-in, which featured Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit. That one features no drama at all but it's still fun because Carlos Condit wears these really short shorts. The second video features Josh Koscheck and Mike Pierce and that one did get heated. I'd recommend checking it out because, like him or not, Koscheck looks nice in very little clothing, and Pierce wears a fun Koscheck wig before they start to get scrappy (is it possible that Koscheck is worried about Pierce?). Also? Dana White looks kinda funny in his Tom Brady jersey. I like his t-shirts better for sure. The final video is of the complete weigh-ins so you can see all the action and results just as they happened in real life.

Since this weekend is Super Bowl weekend as well as UFC 143 weekend, it only makes sense that some current and former NFL players would go on the record and make their picks for the main event in UFC 143, which features Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit. I also think that the new and snazzy Fox deal has something to do with it. In the video below, you can see the likes of Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, Dhani Jones, Jerry Rice, Von Miller, Warren Sapp and Kurt Warner make their picks. I won't give everything away but I will say that Diaz looks like a solid favorite. I fully expect to see a video of current and former UFC fighters making their Super Bowl picks sometime tomorrow. Although, I wonder if they'd all have to pick New England to stay on the boss's good side. Enjoy the game and the fights this weekend!

Everyone made weight at the official weigh-ins for UFC 143. Alex Caceres had to get naked after initially weighing one pound too much at 137 pounds, but he took off his 1-pound underwear and passed with flying colors at 136 pounds. The main event staredown between Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz was pretty uneventful although the Josh Koscheck and Mike Pierce staredown was quite contentious and enjoyable. I apologize for not getting a better pic of that one but they wouldn't stand still! Everyone enjoy your post-weigh-in dinners!
