UFC On Fuel TV: Sanchez Vs. Ellenberger Facebook Live Results And Discussion

The ladies and fellows at Gals Guide will be providing live play-by-play of tonight's UFC on Fuel TV card. The action starts at roughly 6:20 p.m. ET over on Facebook and will move to Fuel TV at 8:00 p.m. ET. We will have all the action covered from beginning until end.

The Facebook stream will feature Ultimate Fighter Season 12 winner and WEC veteran Jonathan Brookins taking on elite grappler Vagner Rocha in a battle at featherweight. In addition to this matchup, you'll get three fights exclusively displaying newcomers to the UFC. Veteran Sean Loeffler will take on the up-and-coming Buddy Roberts in the middleweight division. Two Bloody Elbow Scouting Report talents will square off as Finnish prospect Anton Kuivanen takes on Justin Salas in lightweight action. And for your opnener, you'll see King of the Cage veteran Tim Means slug it it out with the Aussie talent known as "Trekko," Bernardo Magalhaes.

Tim Means vs. Bernardo Magalhaes

Round 1: Means controlled the round standing, using a devastating Thai clinch to land knees. At one point, he rocked Magalhaes and had the fight on the ground. Magalhaes reversed, but the fight wa taken back standing. Landing a steady dosage of leg kicks and knees, Gals Guide scores the round 10-9 Means.

Round 2: Means again was able to shuck off anything Magalhaes tried to get the fight to ground. Save for the occasional overhand right landing for Magalhaes, Means landed most of his punches from a distance and used his reach. Anytime Magalhaes came in, he'd be caught in a Thai clinch and knees and elbows would be landed at will. Magalhaes was caught with a liver shot from a left hook to the body near the end of the round, causing a feeble single-leg attempt from Magalhaes. The round ended with Means working top position ground and pound. Gals Guide scores it 10-9 Means.

Round 3: More of the same with Means controlling the standup and rocking Magalhaes. The reach was a definitive factor in this fight. Knees and strikes landed at will for Means and Magalhaes had nothing for him, save for weak takedown attempts and the overhand right that landed so infrequently. Gals Guide scores it 10-9 Means. 30-27 Means on our card.

Official Decision: Tim Means wins by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)

Anton Kuivanen vs. Justin Salas

Round 1: Kuiavanen opened the round with crisper standup and working on shucking off Salas, although the striking remained somewhat tenative between the two. Both were finding their groove mid-round, with Salas working the jab and lead-left hook and securing a takedown with two minutes left. They played the guard game and the fight went back standing. Salas keeping moving and working the lead and Salas secures a takedown at the end of the round to earn 10-9 Salas.

Round 2: Pretty much the same as the first. Salas working standup and takedowns, Anton doing the former. Salas looking more effective, but really close fight. I'll go 10-9 Salas.

Round 3: Salas' wrestling proved to be the major differential in this round. Takedown after takedown for Salas, specifically the power double. Salas secured side control and clearly won this round and should take the round 10-9 Salas for 30-27 Salas on my card.

Official Decision: Justin Salas wins by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-27)

Buddy Roberts vs. Sean Loeffler

BOUT IS CANCELLED! Loeffler hurt his right ankle backstage during warmups and has a baseball-sized contusion for his troubles. Sad stuff for both men who were slated to debut tonight.

Jonathan Brookins vs. Vagner Rocha

Round 1: Round started with Brookins and Rocha circling and trading range-finding strikes. Rocha had the upperhand for the first minute or so. Brookins engaged a Thai clinch and landed a right uppercut. Right hand landed for Brookins again. Rocha shot for a takedown and was stuffed with Brookins stacked on top in half-guard. Brookins throwing a right hand, then another, then another! Brookins landing at will from top position and Rocha stiffens up! Jonathan Brookins by 1st round TKO.
