Cain Velasquez Rumored to Face Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva at UFC Event in April
According to the Portal Do Vale Tudo site, Antonio Silva is rumored to be making his UFC debut at an event this April. "Bigfoot" will be thrown in with the big dogs as he will be taking on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez. Velasquez is looking to rebound after his first-round KO loss to Junior dos Santos at the inaugural UFC event on Fox. Cain was riding a nine fight win streak before "Cigano" handed him his first loss, defeating the likes of Brock Lesnar and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira with his quick, devastating boxing prowess.
Silva is coming off a loss to a American Kickboxing Academy teammate of Cain's, Daniel Cormier. Following that first-round stoppage loss, "Bigfoot" underwent shoulder surgery to repair an injury he had received in that fight. Velasquez just recently came off of a torn rotator cuff prior to his return against Dos Santos, which gave him a layoff of over a little over a year. If this bout goes down as scheduled, Silva will be facing a year and a half layoff.
This matchup could provide us with a very good bout if it does in fact come together. Will the wrestleboxing of Velasquez put Silva to sleep like Daniel Cormier's did? Or will the size and power of Antonio Silva be too much for a lighter heavyweight in Velasquez like it was for Fedor Emelianenko?

Cain gets a rebound
You cant very well throw him in there against Mir or something crazy like that. They need that fucker to win.
The bottom line is Georges is being a little bitch. He didn’t step up and say anything when the UFC pulled me out of this fight. I understand sometimes you have to do what you’re told, but why wouldn’t you tell the media you still want to fight me? If I was Georges, I would want to fight the best. I would have asked for the Anderson Silva fight. I would have asked to fight the Strikeforce champ. But he sits there like a robot and doesn’t say anything at all, just like he’s not going to say anything about me calling him a bitch now. If I saw BJ Penn walking down the street and called him a bitch, we would be fighting right there on the spot. — Nick Diaz
Bigfoot
Isn’t part of the UFC’s master plan to break into the Mexican market. So no.
