UFC On Fox 2 Live Results And Play-By-Play: Fuel TV Prelims

Apparently, the Camozzi vs. Jacoby fight will not be aired at all, which sucks for those guys.

Lavar Johnson vs. Joey Beltran

Round one: Johnson comes out and drops Beltran with a body shot. Beltran gets up quick. Johnson has Beltran against the cage just bullying him. They break, then clinch up again, separating with punches from Johnson. Johnson is landing shots and kicks at will, his reach is keeping Beltran at bay easily. Beltran shoots but can't get a leg. Beltran is swinging, but is having a lot of trouble getting inside Johnson's reach and can't land effectively. Johnson lands several right uppercuts, Beltran is down, and it's over! Beltran is out! Shane Roller vs. Michael Johnson

Round one: Roller comes out swinging, then shoots. Johnson avoids the takedown. Johnson is being a bit more aggressive in the striking department. Roller keeps shooting but Johnson stuffs the takedown every time. They clinch on the cage, then separate with Johnson getting a good shot in on the way out. They exchange some wild shots, Roller shoots again, they clinch then separate. Johnson's striking is just better than Roller's. He's landing shots and throwing in some good kicks. Roller is much slower, but when he lands a shot, it lands with power. Johnson lands a jumping knee just as the round ends. I call it 10-9 Johnson.

Round two: Johnson is landing combos again, punches and kicks. Roller lands a good right. Johnson clinches Roller on the cage briefly. Roller is landing a few shots but is determined to try for takedowns that he's just not getting. They clinch on the cage, Roller goes for a trip, then pulls guard and finally gets Johnson on the ground. Johnson is on top, landing a little gnp but mostly just holding Roller. Roller gets to his feet. Both men are trading some decent strikes now. Roller goes for the takedown again, ends up against the cage. Johnson lands a good elbow as they break. Now Johnson lands a left, then a combo that looks like it might have Roller rocked. Roller goes all out for a takedown as the round ends. 10-9 Johnson again in my book.

Round three: Johnson comes out looking much fresher than Roller, and is landing more combos. Roller goes for a single again, and tries to take Johnson's back. Roller has a body triangle, and is beating Johnson unmercifully. The ref warns Roller for back of the head strikes. Johnson is trying to get out, and Roller is going for the rear naked. Johnson doing a good job so far of defending. Roller finally lets go of the body triangle, and Johnson ends up in Roller's guard landing some gnp. They stand up, and Johnson lands an accidental kick to the groin. Roller's good to go. Both men end the round with crazy wild strikes. End of the fight, I gave Roller the last round but Johnson won in my book, 29-28.

Charles Oliveira vs. Eric Wisely

Round one: Oliveira opens with kicks. Wisely throws a kick, Oliveira catches it, and Wisely is down. Oliveira is landing strikes standing, then goes for a heel hook. Wisely slips out of that, but ends up with Oliveira taking his back while keeping the leg locked up. Wisely taps! Charles Oliveira def. Eric Wisely via submission (calf slicer), 1:43 of round one

Cub Swanson vs. George Roop

Round one: The fighters open with kicks. Roop is being the more aggressive early. Swanson lands a left, then Roop comes in with a knee. Roop is putting together decent combos. Swanson throws a wheel kick, misses, and Roop comes after him hard. Swanson comes back with a flurry of shots that has Roop rocked, but he recovers. Swanson lands a right, Roop shoots and gets a takedown. Swanson is in Roop's guard, then they stand. Swanson lands a back kick and comes in with another flurry. Roop is bleeding from the nose. Swanson trips Roop, but he's back up. End of the round. I give it to Roop, 10-9.

Round two: Roop comes in with a combo and lands a couple of leg kicks. Swanson lands a leg kick, then they clinch up as Swanson tries to get Roop down. They separate. Roop comes in with another combo. Swanson is moving forward, then lands a right that staggers Roop. Roop is down, Swanson swarms on him, and it's over! Cub Swanson def. Jon Olav Einemo vs. Mike Russow

Round one: Russow comes in rushing, and gets Einemo down. Russow in Einemo's guard. Russow stands, so does Einemo, and Russow goes for a single again. He can't get it though. Russow lands a couple of good strikes. Einemo lands a good right, then Russow clinches up again. Einemo with some good knees in the clinch. They separate. Russow gets a single, is in half guard. Einemo gets full guard, and Russow isn't doing much with top position apart from landing a couple of body shots. Russow stands, then comes back in. Einemo grabs him and gets full guard. Russow is smothering, then Einemo sweeps and gets full mount as the round ends. I give the round to Russow just for the takedowns. 10-9.

Round two: Russow comes in swinging, then gets a takedown. Einemo gets full guard. Russow tries to stand but Einemo had his wrists. Back to full guard. Einemo briefly attemps a triangle but gives it up quickly. Russow stands again, then comes back in trying for side control. He gets half guard. Back to full guard, then Russow tries to stand but Einemo holds him again. Russow lands some gnp but both men look tired. Einemo is bleeding from the nose, and the ref stands the fight up. Russow immediately goes for a single and gets the takedown. Full guard as the round ends. Again, 10-9 Russow.

Round three: Einemo throws a head kick that misses, then lands a knee. Russow goes for a single but doesn't get it. Einemo lands a knee to the face, then some good shots. They end up back on the ground. Einemo threatens with a triangle but Russow gets out of it. Einemo is exhausted, but keeps full guard. Russow gets half guard, then back to full. Russow now with gnp, and the ref stands them up. Einemo lands some good knees, then Russow gets another takedown. Full guard. Again. End of the fight, Russow 30-27.

Nik Lentz vs. Evan Dunham

Round one: Dunham opens with a head kick that misses. Lentz comes in kicking, then gets a takedown but they're back up quick. Lentz goes for another takedown and misses. They trade shots now, Lentz picks Dunham up and gets a takedown. They're up but Lentz has Dunham's neck. He lets is go and knees Dunham on the way out. Lentz keeps coming in swinging, then goes for a takedown. Dunham almost gets a guillotine but Lentz is out of it. Both guys trading again, Dunham gets a takedown and ends up in full guard. Lentz lands some elbows from the bottom. End of the round. I say Lentz, 10-9.

Round two: Dunham comes in hard, gets a takedown and ends up in Lentz' guard again. Moves to side control now. Lentz tries to get up, almost gives up his back, then finally gets up. Lentz lands several good right uppercuts. Both guys are landing some good strikes. Lentz goes for a takedown but it's stuffed. Dunham is landing tons of shots and Lentz is answering back well. Dunham gets a takedown, Lentz in full guard. Dunham goes for a choke but lets go quickly. Dunham in side control now. Dunham lands some gnp and Lentz is bleeding from a couple of spots now. They stand again, Dunham lands a big left and Lentz answers with an uppercut then clinches Dunham on the cage. end of the round. Dunham 10-9. Oh, and FotN so far.

Round three: No round three, the doctors have stopped the fight. And after seeing the damage to the left eye of Nik Lentz, I say it's fully justified.
