King Mo Tests Positive For Banned Steroid
The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced today that Muhammed Lawal has tested positive for a banned substance. King Mo tested positive for the steroid Drostanolone in the testing that was done for his fight against Lorenz Larkin at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine on January 8.
Drostanolone (or Masterone) is an anabolic/androgenic steroid derived from dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is a non-aromatizing androgen commonly used to treat breast cancer. According to steroidology.com:
Bodybuilders have a strong like for non-aromatizing androgens, and find Masteron very useful in a cutting phase. It is generally used for a number of weeks prior to a competition, in an effort to bring out an improved look of density and hardness to the muscles. As long as body fat percentage is low enough, Masteron should work very well. Provided everything fits as if should, the user can achieve that "ripped" look so popular to professional bodybuilding. The androgenic effect can also be crucial during this period, a time when caloric intake is drastically lowered. The user is provided added "kick" or "drive" to push through the grueling training sessions leading up to the show.
There is no word yet on what the punishment for this offense will be but it would most likely be a healthy suspension. While Lawal has not yet commented on this issue, he is apparently denying that he took steroids.

bummer
After he showed the woodley how to wrestle in mma too
The bottom line is Georges is being a little bitch. He didn’t step up and say anything when the UFC pulled me out of this fight. I understand sometimes you have to do what you’re told, but why wouldn’t you tell the media you still want to fight me? If I was Georges, I would want to fight the best. I would have asked for the Anderson Silva fight. I would have asked to fight the Strikeforce champ. But he sits there like a robot and doesn’t say anything at all, just like he’s not going to say anything about me calling him a bitch now. If I saw BJ Penn walking down the street and called him a bitch, we would be fighting right there on the spot. — Nick Diaz
