Anthony Johnson Is Cut From The UFC After Failing To Make Weight For UFC 142

Not that it really comes as some sort of a surprise, but Anthony Johnson has been booted by Zuffa after failing to make weight for the second time in a row, even after moving up in weight class. The dude came in 12 pounds over the middleweight limit, and 27 pounds heavier than the weightclass he has tried to fight fought at his entire career. Dana White, as always, had something to say-

"This is his third time. Three strikes and you're gone."

"That was one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen. The guy was at 170 pounds. He moved up to 185 pounds so this wouldn't happen anymore, and this is the worst weightcutting disaster he's ever had. He almost ruined the co-main event here in Brazil. I don't know what else to say about that one. I'm not happy about it."

"I don't dislike the guy. I like him very much actually. When you talk to Anthony Johnson, he's a good guy.

"I don't know who you blame in this one. Do you blame him? Do you blame his team? Do you blame his camp? I mean who takes the blame in this one? Ultimately, you're a grown man. You're responsible for your own actions."

I'm taking the positive viewpoint here. Anthony Johnson in a Bellator MW tournament would be aaaawesome! Or Anthony Johnson vs. Hector Lombard would be fun too! Let's get Fatty into the mix over on MTV2 where he doesn't have to fight guys like Koscheck and Belfort. He'll do well...unless he misses weight AGAIN.

And...

NEW RUMBLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD

God help me, I lusted, and there is a promise in such sweat. But it is a whore's vengeance, and you must see it; I set myself entirely in your hands. I know you must see it now.

even when you lose

you win the Rumbleweight championship

The bottom line is Georges is being a little bitch. He didn’t step up and say anything when the UFC pulled me out of this fight. I understand sometimes you have to do what you’re told, but why wouldn’t you tell the media you still want to fight me? If I was Georges, I would want to fight the best. I would have asked for the Anderson Silva fight. I would have asked to fight the Strikeforce champ. But he sits there like a robot and doesn’t say anything at all, just like he’s not going to say anything about me calling him a bitch now. If I saw BJ Penn walking down the street and called him a bitch, we would be fighting right there on the spot. — Nick Diaz

I would have sent him to Strikeforce

That would be fun

Rumble v. Rockhold. Maybe give him Jacare first. I doubt he would beat Jacare

I want to poke him with a needle.

Anderson Silva, Edson Barboza, Jose Aldo, Charles Oliveira, Thiago Alves = Muay Thai wrecking machines!

I wouldnt be surprised

Or simply cut the muscle mass back down to where he was when fighting at 170. He could make 205 there. but he gained what looked to be 15 pounds EASY of muscle since his last fight. dumb ass.

the fact is ladies the man is not fat he is just huge

he needs to fight at a higher weight class. now with what happened in his last fight he either has to cut weight the right way. or he has to go to 205 losing only 10 to 15 pounds. he can’t do more than 20 pounds anymore to much strain on his body. vitor won that fight via rumble was half done before the fight started. he went all out because i figured he would have only one round of stamina in him.

I think we all realize that he isn't fat.

It’s just more fun to sling around names.
