Watch Dana White's UFC 142 Video Log - Day 1
Welcome to another installment of Dana White's behind the scenes video logs. This one follows Dana as he prepares for UFC 142 in Brazil, but it also shows some coverage and activity from the last UFC event, UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem. Dana begins by explaining that he won't even fly to Brazil until Wednesday night because all this week he's getting ready for the new (and LIVE!) Ultimate Fighter on FX and he's super busy. Excellent!
Cut to my favorite vlog stuff, the fighters after their UFC 141 fights when they're getting unwrapped and checked out by the doctors, and the fighters as they're getting ready for their fights. Sean Pierson looks sad and Dong Hyun Kim looks happy. Nate Diaz and Brock Lesnar walk with intention. A happy Ross Pearson gets checked out and his thighs look really nice. Junior Assuncao looks displeased. Alistair Overeem and his people are practically taking pre-fight naps. They look like they wish they could play cards. Lesnar's training room appears to have a bit more tension in it. Donald Cerrone and Johny Hendricks warm up. I hope Hendricks burned some calories because I think he burned about 12 in his actual fight. Nam Phan and Vladimir Matyushenko get checked out, while Alexander Gustafsson looks totally chill. He's leggy, that one. Jon Fitch looks sad and stunned - it's not enjoyable to see. Joe Rogan is back there joking around with Hendricks and congratulating him and Lorenzo Fertitta tells him he probably has a nice bonus coming to him.
We then see Cerrone prepping to walk out. He's bouncy. Nate Diaz is keeping warm as Nick Diaz relaxes and chats. Cut to after the Diaz-Cerrone fight and Stitch and Dana talk about how great the fight was. Dana tells the camera that they boys just hugged. Adorbs. Nate Diaz gives Cerrone his beanie and I totally get the feeling he was hoping to get the cowboy hat in exchange. Maybe next time.
Next, we see a ginormous Overeem preparing to walk and he is huge. Wow. He also has many back-of-the-next crinkles. Lesnar looks calm. They both walk and then it's over and Brock's backstage, with Sable.
