My god
Hamill is slow and plodding, and Gustafsson is twitchy. Plus Rogan is doing his thing of commenting on everything Hamill does, but ignoring what Gustafsson is doing. Hamill is getting hit like 3 times for every one punch he throws – even if they are glancing shots.
Somehow I expected more from this fight.

Recap
Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle – Round 1 – They trade jabs early and Pyle shoots and can’t get the takedown. Rory catches Pyle’s kick and lands a right hand that puts him on his back. Jab by Rory as Pyle stands up. Uppercut from a brief tie up by Pyle. Now Pyle shoots and gets the takedown. Pyle looks for a sweep, gets butterfly guard and stands up. Pyle sticks to him and looks for the takedown. Pyle with another takedown. MacDonald gets up and lands some nice punches. Nice feint and hook by Rory and he almost finishes after with a power guillotine but Pyle spins out. Rory kicking the leg of Pyle before jumping into his guard. Pyle keeps moving his legs up but MacDonald is cracking him with big shots. Pyle is hurt and covering up. Finally the fight is stopped and Pyle is hurting badly. He’s yet to get out of the turtle position he was in while getting finished. Great showing by MacDonald. Rory Macdonald wins by TKO (strikes), round 1.

The hubs was taken to the track as part of a work thing
(Law firms are weird to summer interns … wining and dining them before working them to death when they officially start.)
They brought in a consultant to tell them the finer nuances of betting on the ponies. He recommended a three race parlay.
The fricking parlay actually played out. If he put down 10 bucks, he would have won 1k. AUGHHH.
I won a ton of money at the track once.
I pretended like I meant to do it and it wasn’t all blind luck.

The one time I met him he gave my friend a hard time about an article he did about him.
