PrintSweet Devastation. One loss and she's cut? There's definitely something going on here. Whether this is a sign of things to come for women's MMA or there's something going on with Team Golden Glory, the team that they (Overeem, Coenen, and Einemo) all belong to, I don't know. I has a major case of the sads though. Let's see if we can find out more info about this as the day goes on. What a bummer.

What. The. Fuck.
To me this whole thing smacks of purging the ranks of anyone who might be loyal to the old regime. Tho Cyborg Santos says she’s close to a new contract with Strikeforce, I expect she’s probably done for as well. I’d give it a year, maybe two tops, before Strikeforce is nothing more than a “farm team” for the UFC, if it’s not entirely defunct. Sigh. I think we can go ahead and kiss the Strikeforce women’s divisions goodbye…
So who want to start our own promotion? =P
It wasn't about Marloes...
it’s that Zuffa and GG aren’t playing well together. The loss just gave them the excuse to let her go. It sucks, but it’s done. Of course, what no one seems to realize yet is that this means that if/when Gokhan Saki makes his MMA debut like he’s supposed to this year, it won’t be with Strikeforce like we thought. And that, my friends, is a bigger loss than Valentijn Overeem or even Einemo. Because Saki is too damn good to sign with an org like Bellator or MFC (no offense, Bjorn!!).

marloes is the only person out the bunch that i am mad who got cut.
overeem fights mma when he is sure he can win. his last three mma matches think about them. not only were they far apart in time he fought 2 people way below him and one person who made him look like a chump. brett rodgers he beat him who didn’t see that coming. beat duffee who didn’t see that coming. werdum fight was the test to fight someone worth something. werdum hurt himself reem could not finish. plus got outstruck by the butt scooting werdum. booo that man he wants to fight k-1 let him.
overeem’s older bro doesn’t have the heart of a fighter moving on to john umm later.
