Nicolas Cage's Son Weston Considering MMA, Wanting to Fight Kimbo Slice?

Call me old-fashioned, but I still feel that there is something fundamentally wrong in the world when TMZ.com is reporting MMA news.  Of course, I guess you could also look at it the other way around, and see it as evidence that MMA is surely getting bigger when TMZ considers it newsworthy. 

But at least this time, it isn't Tito and/or Jenna making the headlines.  Instead, it's Nic Cage's son Weston Cage.  See, he thinks that a surefire way to prove himself mentally healthy and whatever is to take up MMA (gives a whole new meaning to the term Cage fighting, no?).   He declines to say who he's training with, but says that his dream fight would be against Kimbo Slice.  Of course, he also says that he's training for the UFC, not just MMA. 

Kimbo hasn't really responded to any of this, but his rep clearly took Cage's comment as a challenge:

Kimbo's rep, Jared Ryan Shaw, has serious questions about Weston's state of mind: "Mental stability would have had [Weston] think twice about his wishes to fight a street certified, cage tested, and boxing ring ready Kimbo Slice." 

Shaw also jabbed,  "Kimbo is Nic Cage famous ... and Weston's 15 minutes are up."
