Holly Holm Gets Viciously Finished Video Footage

On Friday Night at the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico Holly Holm fought Anne Sophie Mathis in what was supposedly the biggest womens boxing bout in a long time.
I'm no boxing expert or even a follower of womens boxing, but I have heard about Holly Holm through her two MMA bouts she was victorious in. Her, Mathis and Cecilia Braekhus seem to be the top 3 boxers at the moment. Holm was previously undefeated since 2004. While Matthis has been undefeated since 2003. Interesting to note that Mathis of France had her debut in 1995 losing her second bout and did not compete until 2003.
From what I saw in the highlights Mathis ate some big hooks right on the chin, but was not phased. Holms corner should have through in the towel or the ref should have stopped in sooner. The 6th and 7th rounds are brutal.

I feel no sympathy for her. She’s lucky she hasnt had these interviews more often. Part of the game. You’ve got to “man up” I suppose. “woman up!”

it was like the ref wanted a brutal knockout. he could have called the fight when her arm got twisted in the ropes.

I still think she’s got a bright future in MMA, those shots she landed on Mathis in the earlier rounds would have at least rocked someone with MMA gloves

after seeing the fight it just seems the other chick had a stronger chin
she took alot of hard hits and kept coming. holly was trying to hard for the ko after 3 rounds of throwing hammers. if she is not going down try to control the fight and the pace. she got gassed going for the win and that women looks like…….. i’m going be nice

Not nearly as bad as Mark Hominick’s grilling of an interview post UFC 140. That was fucked up. He is out there like a fucking embassador after being KO’d in 7 seconds in front of his home crowd in his first fight sinc ehis mentor and best friend died, so the media grills him from every side about his dead friend til he breaks down. Fuckin dicks.
I give Ariel Helwani props on that one at the end when Hominick mustered his answer to cut it off and go “Thanks Mark”
