Nate Diaz Talks Friendship in MMA, Donald Cerrone, and Love for Martial Arts
Nate Diaz isn't a social butterfly. I suppose it runs in the family? Well, whatever it is that runs in the Diaz clan, the brothers give some damn good interviews. And thanks to our pal Ariel Helwani over at MMA Fighting, we have a new interview from Nate to marvel at.
In the interview, Nate breaks down what really happened at the UFC 141 open workout, where he supposedly slapped Donald Cerrone's handshake away. He also talks about the cons of cordiality in mixed martial arts, his welterweight run, and whether or not he has the same disinterest developing in the sport as his brother Nick does. Regardless, it is interesting to see the differences and similarities in the Diaz boys. Nate is certainly more amiable, even if it is by the slightest of margins. He also is a bit more articulate than Nick. They both definitely seem to be a little weary of media and don't enjoy much socializing before a fight. Nick also has developed more of a following in his interviews, but this is likely due to his stature in the sport compared to Nate's.
Also worth noting is how well Helwani gets the Diaz brothers rolling. He never fails to deliver in his interviews with Nate and Nick.

Gotta say
as painful as it is to listen to Nate talk sometimes, I really like this interview. Though anyone who becomes friends with The Dentist gets knocked down a few pegs.

Neer is fun to watch. His last fight was brutal.
