The Stag Party: Christmas Staggery With The Gals!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank all of the writers and readers of the site. We all join together to make such a respectful, witty, and intelligent community that I love to write for every day. I really would like to thank all of you for the opportunity to have my work read and for all of the comments and discussions you bring to the table. You readers, you make it especially fun. Us writers wouldn't mean a thing without you. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that you guys deserve all the thanks in the world and I hope you keep coming back for more. You guys are the best. Happy holidays to all of you. Enjoy time spent with family and loved ones.

Now, onto some staggery. We had an office party of sorts over here at Gals Guide. And what I mean by that is that I emailed everyone to make an MMA holiday wishlist. Do you really think that we would be still be on this site writing had there been an office party? Doubt it. We'd probably be composing pieces from our cell phones asking for bail money and/or more booze.

So without further ado, here is our little gift to you all. Our MMA holiday wishlists! Have a happy holiday season!

Beth:

I wish that I could watch MMA in NY.

I hope that Overeem makes Brock cry. Just a few tears would rule.

I wish that GSP gets better so that we can all finally watch him fight Nick Diaz.

I wish that Daniel Gracie wins at least one fight next year.

I wish that Gegard Mousasi gets his crap together and gets his butt over to the UFC. Now.

I hope that everyone gets tons of presents and comes back to us next year safe and sound.

Donna:

I wish for a Sonnen/Silva fight that ends in a embarrasing loss for Sonnen.

I wish for a Tito Ortiz-free UFC.

I wish for a fresh crop of Pantydroppers.

I wish for MMA in Madison Square Garden.

I wish that Evans and Jones would finally fight in the Octagon instead of on Twitter.

Join us for some more wishes and holiday cheer after the jump!

Star-divide

Kat:

I wish for an Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen rematch! This was on my list to Santa last year and it just didn't happen. We need Silva to get healthy and Sonnen to make it through his fight with Mark Munoz, and maybe we'll get it then.

I wish for a healthy GSP! I'm tired of Georges St. Pierre fighting once and maybe twice a year. I want him to be a healthy champion, and remain champion, and defend his belt three times a year.

I wish for more Donald Cerrone! So what? I like Cerrone. I admit it. He will have had five fights in 2011 and, while I don't know if he can keep up this pace in 2012, I like seeing him fight often. He's fun to watch and I love his accent in the post-fight interview :)

I wish for a UFC heavyweight champion that defends his belt at least once! I don't mind the competition to keep the belt, and it's fun when things get all switched up, but I'd like to see Junior Dos Santos hold on to it for a while.

I wish for more Ronda Rousey! I like her and I want to see her fight more and really prove whether she deserves a title shot. Like her or not, she does add a little extra dose of excitement to the women's side of Strikeforce, and that's a good thing.

I wish for fewer rape jokes, fewer C-bombs and no more gay slurs! A girl can hope, right? Let's just avoid these altogether so we don't have to discuss them EVER AGAIN.

I wish everyone very happy holidays and a fabulous 2012!

Christie:

I wish Alistair Overeem would deliver enough high knees to send Brock back to wrestling. I'm sure they miss him over there.

I wish Nick Diaz would get a smile for Christmas and lose the poop face. Enough already we know you're surly and tough.

I wish Badr Hari would return to K-1 and forget about boxing. The Klitcshkos will still dominate
there and I miss him.

I love UFC but wish that all the fight organizations would stay strong and keep offering exciting alternatives.

Happy Holidays to all the writers at Gals Guide and especially to the readers!

Keren:

I wish for more wmma. I wish for more opponents for Cyborg. I wish for Strikeforce to open a 125-lb and 115-lb women's division. I wish for Bellator to have another women's tournament.

I wish for Anthony Johnson to beat Vitor Belfort. I wish for Wanderlei Silva to beat Vitor Belfort.

I wish for Anderson Silva v. Chael Sonnen II and I don't care who wins. It'll be good.

I wish for less Junie Browning.

I wish for TUF 15 and TUF Brazil to be excellent.

I wish for MMA to be legalized in New York so I don't have to travel out of state to get some MMA, dammit!

I wish for all that 2012 will be better than 2011.

And finally, I wish for Daniel James Miller to have his kidney transplant, stay healthy and keep those big cute cheeks forever.

Rachel:

I wish for the 209 to take over the welterweight division. Don't be scared, Homie.

I wish someone would invest in K-1. I don't know what I am going to do without my beloved K-1 GP.

I want The Ultimate Fighter to put on a season that I won't have to force myself to watch. I usually love that show but lately it has been lackluster.

I wish for a Jon Jones/Anderson Silva super fight. I just want to seem someone brutally knock Jones out. Sorry I'm a hater.

I want Chael Sonnen to remain the beautiful human being he is.

And finally, and most importantly, I want women's divisions in the UFC.

Knitty:

I wish... that all events are live, including those on Showtime. Yeah, you, Strikeforce, owned by Zuffa. As a West Coast MMA watcher, I'm practically passing out by the time the main event starts.

I wish... for the Jones/Silva super fight. I've given up on GSP/Silva. I just want one fun super fight!

I wish... guys would stay retired when they retire. I really don't want to hear about Liddell even considering coming back.

I wish... also for fewer rape tweets and other bad jokes. If you think your grandmother may be offended by your tweet, don't send it.

I wish... I could go have breakfast with Clay Guida.

I wish... for peace on earth and good will towards men. And women. Happy Holidays to everyone!

Midge:

I wish to watch Rachel and Rollo in an epic grappling match

I wish to see that epic grappling match end by way of Taekwondo Lady Foot to the Face KO

I wish that Ben Askren was pretty

I wish that the next mugger Jon Jones "stops" cuts him on his inner thighs with a rusty spoon.

I wish that the sweet little boy inside of Chael Sonnen is able to reach the proper authorities somehow via flatulence morris code

I wish Bellator cashes in on my dreams of a 125 lbs female tournament with all my heroes of the division.

Mountaineer:

I wish for healthy and happy fighters.

I wish for the revitalization and growth of the sport worldwide.

I wish for kickboxing to return to prominence.

I wish all combat sports would coexist and learn to love one another.

I wish for Jon Jones to maintain his title, for Nick Diaz to beat Carlos "Conduit" and Georgey Boy, for a Donald Cerrone-Ben Henderson III for the UFC lightweight belt (to make you WEC haters cry), for Faber to knock some gel out of that widow's peak, for awesome flyweights, and for Mark Hunt to get his damn title shot!

There you have it folks! Our MMA wishlist for this holiday season! I hope you all come back safe and rested for 2012, or maybe even a few days before. I hear two mammoths are fighting on the 30th in the UFC. And I hear a certain emperor of the final variety will be fighting in Japan that night. Happy holidays!

MOAR ROAR!

The bottom line is Georges is being a little bitch. He didn’t step up and say anything when the UFC pulled me out of this fight. I understand sometimes you have to do what you’re told, but why wouldn’t you tell the media you still want to fight me? If I was Georges, I would want to fight the best. I would have asked for the Anderson Silva fight. I would have asked to fight the Strikeforce champ. But he sits there like a robot and doesn’t say anything at all, just like he’s not going to say anything about me calling him a bitch now. If I saw BJ Penn walking down the street and called him a bitch, we would be fighting right there on the spot. — Nick Diaz

Not even Rachel toes to the kisser?

How disappointing!
