Gabriel Gonzaga Returns At UFC 142 Against Edinaldo Oliveira

Gabriel Gonzaga is back!
No, this isn't just what Mike Goldberg would have to say if Gonzaga wins his next fight. According to MMA Fighting, Gabe Gonzaga will be making his return as a replacement for an injured Rob Broughton against Edinaldo Oliveira in a heavyweight collision. He inked a four-fight deal, which begins on January 14th in Brazil with this bout.
Gonzaga had a rough patch that lead to his departure from the UFC. He was defeated by Junior dos Santos at UFC Live: Vera vs. Jones by a first round knockout. He then dropped a unanimous decision against Brendan Schaub at UFC 121 in October of 2010, where he was outboxed for three rounds. Gonzaga retired after the two losses, only to return nearly a year later at a Reality Fighting event against Parker Porter. He won the company's heavyweight strap with a third round arm-triangle.
This is exciting news for the Brazilian, who will be fighting in Brazil for the sixth time in his career. Gonzaga should bring an exciting fight to Oliveira, who brings 13 victories and no defeats into the cage. Tough comeback, indeed!
