Alistair Overeem Granted Conditional License For UFC 141 Fight With Brock Lesnar
The MMA world was watching Layzie The Savage's stream or listening to the Nevada State Athletic Commission conference call with open ears, awaiting the licensing that could determine whether or not the UFC 141 main event between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem would go on without a hitch.
Finally, the verdict is in...and it is rather complicated.
Alistair Overeem has been licensed, but he is facing a slew of conditions. Overeem has to submit a urine sample at a NSAC-approved facility within 72 hours. In addition to this, he has to submit to 2 random drug tests within 6 months post-fight on his own tab. Let us hope Alistair makes Anderson Silva money.
All of this stems over the fact Alistair hopped on a flight to Holland on the day of his commission testing to be with his mother who is suffering from cancer. Alistair was grilled by the commission, who determined that Alistair wasn't attempting to neglect the commission's test with his mother's illness and communication breakdown between his assistant, the UFC, and the commission.
In addition to all of this nonsense, Keith Jardine and Vladimir Matyushenko were granted licenses for their fights. Jardine will be facing Luke Rockhold for the Strikeforce Middleweight strap on January 7th, while The Janitor will be taking on Alexander Gustafsson on the aforementioned UFC 141 card. Also, Mario Yamasaki was given the duty to referee the main event between Lesnar and Overeem.
So, barring some missed hurdles, it seems we will see two behemoths collide at UFC 141. Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesnar will still be on.

Is anyone upset over the Reem being licensed?

no
Why would we?
The bottom line is Georges is being a little bitch. He didn’t step up and say anything when the UFC pulled me out of this fight. I understand sometimes you have to do what you’re told, but why wouldn’t you tell the media you still want to fight me? If I was Georges, I would want to fight the best. I would have asked for the Anderson Silva fight. I would have asked to fight the Strikeforce champ. But he sits there like a robot and doesn’t say anything at all, just like he’s not going to say anything about me calling him a bitch now. If I saw BJ Penn walking down the street and called him a bitch, we would be fighting right there on the spot. — Nick Diaz

Oh, I’m not upset. Just asking because there are some people who are legitimately upset.

Why would someone be upset?
Reem has never EVER failed a drug test, his Mom has cancer, so he’s torn between two continents and the AC (the fumbling bumbling AC) is pitching him shit.
