The Ultimate Fighter 14: Episode 7 Recap
One month until Michael Bisping and Jason Miller fight, and seeing as how my like for Bisping has left me, it no longer pains me to say that Miller is going to have his way with him. It always makes me chuckle on this show when Bisping says he's going to knock someone out, as we all know that that is not one of Pillowfist McTeatime's specialities.
Roland Delorme's foot looks like absolute dookie. He's got an absolutely vile case of staph on his foot. It's gotta be swollen to 2 times its normal size. Man does it look bad. He's supposed to fight in a couple of days, and I just can't imagine how that's going to be possible.
Rafael Cordeiro shows up to help coach Team Miller. Only a few of the guys geek out at seeing him, and I really, really hope that these boys know who he is. Bisping's special guest is not so exciting. He brings in Tito Ortiz. Team Miller 1, Team Bisping 0. Sadly, unlike with Cordeiro, they all seem to know who Tito is. Sigh.
Back at the house, Team Bisping is bitching about TJ asking for the easier fight. TJ apparently said he should have the easier fight cause he's the best 35er on Team Miller. Marcus, Akira, and Diego seem the most put out, and Akira and Diego say they're going to teach TJ a lesson. Based on Akira's past weak pranks, I'm guessing he's going to crap in his shoes or something along those lines. Instead they decided to go really hard on him in training. Diego gets him with some arm bars and knee bars, and Akira wasn't pulling is punches when they were sparring. TJ gets pissed. So then when Marcus was sparring with TJ, Marcus decides he's going to hard and they start really going at each other. Bisping, who doesn't know a thing about his team, didn't realize there was another reason that they might be going at each other.
Roland gets cleared by the doctor to fight, which seems pretty insane, considering it looked like he has elephantitis. Roland says it still hurts a little and he's feeling slightly sluggish, but probably doesn't bode well for his chances in the fight. That being said, I'd love to see him take TJ out. The coaches on Team Bisping are pretty psyched about TJ. They say he's the full MMA package. Miller prank time!! Miller decides to get back at Tiki Ghosn for having his car towed by having highway barricades placed all the way around his car.
It's fight day and Roland is dreaming about the $25,000 fight bonus. Apparently he sold his restaurant to come join the TUF cast. Seems rather risky, no? I'd say he could've kept the restaurant open, just in case.
Fight time!! Round 1 - a few kicks are traded, but TJ gets Roland down fairly quickly. TJ's wrestling background is coming in full force, as he's lying on Roland buy not getting anything done. Roland gets up and they trade a few punches, but TJ again takes him down pretty quickly. TJ remembers to throw a few punches, but then he also just sits on top for a bit, keeping Roland's arms and legs immobile but not doing any damage. At one point Roland throws up his hands, as if to say to Steve Mazzagatti, "Can you help me here?" Round 2 - TJ gets a great punch in and knocks Roland down. Roland manages to hang in there despite some more punches. Then TJ stops throwing punches and tangles Roland up again. This time, however, he actually throws some elbows. So far, TJ looks a lot better this round with some ground and pound. He takes Roland's back, and Roland taps with the rear naked choke.
Time to pick the semifinals. Miller has 5, Bisping has 3. TJ wants to fight Dustin. Dodson wants to fight TJ. Pretty much all of Team Miller wants to fight Dodson, on account of him selling out his entire team during the preliminary matches.
Semifinal Match-ups:
TJ Dillashaw vs. Dustin Pague
John Dodson vs. Johnny Bedford
Akira Corassani vs. Dennis Bermudez
Diego Brandao vs. Bryan Caraway

Wow!
It took some time, but you have finally embraced the Pillowfists McTeatime mindset!!
