The Ultimate Fighter 14: Episode 9 Recap
This is the first season of TUF in a long time that hasn't bored me silly, but I still find myself ready to see how this thing ends. I'm a fickle broad, what can I say? We start with Dustin Pague giving a bag of goodies to a homeless guy, and it gives me the warm fuzzies. There really are a lot of nice guys on this season to combat the douchebaggery that seems to e around. Cough..Akira...cough. Dustin is getting ready to fight TJ, so he can use as much good karma as possible. TJ rubs me the wrong way, so I would definitely like to see Dustin win here. TJ looks like he belongs in a boy band, not MMA.
House hijinks! The coaches of Team Miller come for a bbq, and the guys dare Dustin to eat a live cockroach. Miller goes of to find a cockroach, and they find not only a cockroach but a beetle too. To cheers of go, go go Dustin eats the bugs. A few cheers and Dustin is game. Boys are so easy to manipulate.
Coaches challenge!! It's air hockey time, and Bisping isn't thrilled. Bisping plays with his kids, and Miller hasn't played since 4th grade. Should be a hoot! As per usual, coach that wins gets $10,000 and $1,500 for each guy on his team. Bisping scores the first point, which is amazing because there were multiple times that it looked like he was going to get the puck into his own goal. Bisping killed the first game 7-1, and Miller is not looking good. In the second game, Miller gets 4 goals, but those are all goals that Bisping gets against himself. Bisping starts talking major crap, and it all goes downhill. But Bisping focuses and wins game 4 to win the challenge. Bisping is the sorest winner ever. However karma comes into play again and Bisping eats shit jumping off of the table.
TIki loves him some TJ, who he says is one of the best wrestlers this season. The coaches are telling TJ to put Dustin on his back and ground and pound to win the fight. I hope Dustin has been working on his takedown defense.
Fight time! 1st round - TJ gets Dustin down in the first minute and does that lay and pray ground and pound that the coaches suggested. TJ gets a few elbows in, but he really isn't very aggressive. Miller is trying to help Dustin get to his feet, but either he's not listening or he doesn't know what to do. Every time Miller yells out instruction, Bisping counters with instruction of his own to counter Miller. Dustin gets up at the end of the round but unfortunately isn't able to get anything done before the end of the round. 2nd round - Dustin is aggressive to start the fight, but TJ takes him down almost right away. Dustin is trying very hard to get out from under, but TJ is very happy to just lay on top of Dustin without getting anything done. TJ starts to work a little and gets some knees to the ribs and some elbows to the head. Dustin opens up a cut on TJ's cheek with an elbow, but the round ends with TJ still on top. 3rd round - I really cant type it again. It's a repeat of the first two rounds, but this time with more blood. Dustin is bleeding from his left eyelid. TJ gets the unanimous decision win.

I’m pretty sure Dustin was doing a lot more laying and praying than T.J. was.
Score one for religious MMA wordplay!

Bisping falling when he jumped off the air hockey table is one of the best TUF moments ever.
