The Ultimate Fighter 14: Episode 8 Recap

It's getting close to the end and I have to say, I can't wait to watch Jason Miller kick the crap out of Pillowfists McTeamTime.  If there was anyone in need of an ass kicking, Michael Bisping is that person.  

We start tonight's episode with Akira Corassani giving himself a mohawk.  Akira calls Bryan Caraway a chick for taking 25 minutes to do his hair, then proceeds to run giggling up the stairs after shaving off a strip of Bryan's hair.  Bryan is not amused at all.

Mayhem rides a bike in to practice because he's heard that Tiki is planning on doing something major to his car.  Bisping and Tiki distract Team Mayhem before chaos ensues.  They proceed to set off fire extinguishers in Team Miller's room and they've hired a mariachi band to play.  Bisping and Tiki laugh like they've done the most clever thing in the world.  It really isn't because now Bisping's team can't train in the gym.  You know what else isn't clever?  Tiki Ghosn's bleached stripes in his goatee.  Not clever at all.  

Akira has plans for his training but Bisping doesn't agree.  It seems that Akira doesn't feel that someone who fights on the ground is worthy.  You'd think with that attitude he'd be a boxer but he must have decided to slum it with these MMA fighters.  On a positive note, Marcus Brimage rubs a dirty jock strap in Bisping's face who then proceeds to rub it in Akira's face because Marcus has run off.  Happy feelings.  Bisping and Tiki show up at the house for the sole purpose of attacking Marcus with silly string.  Man, I'm in the wrong business.  What a life these guys lead.  Jealous feelings.

Dennis Bermudez vs. Akira Corassani

Oh please let Dennis Bermudez win this fight.  Akira is a bully and I don't like him at all.  All I know is that this fight is going to be quick cause we've only got a few minutes left in this episode.

Round One.  Akira seems to hurt Bermudez within the first minute with a punch.  Bermudez recovers but I'm nervous.  Bermudez has tried to take down Akira a few times with no luck.  They're standing around and just punching each other a lot.  Akira is getting in some nasty shots.  This is not going how I wanted it to.  Bermudez finally slams down Akira and tries to choke him out.  DO IT!  Woot!  Akira taps out.  Oh thank you, Jebus!  Bermudez via Submission.  

Thank God Dennis was able to recover from Akira's nasty punches.  Whew.  Akira is really out of it after the fight.  Next week, the coaches challenge!  And it's air hockey!
