I just talked to Chael Sonnen (sort of)... It was as weird as I immagined.
Chael Sonnen as a Real Estate Agent (via kermitmousasi)
If you didn't know by now Chael has many former occupations underneath his belt, like politition, and real estate agent. Well a certain Mr. Sonnen had his former real estate commercial leak onto youtube.
I had to try the number :D. So I texted him "I gained a ton of respect for you in your last fight. I'm an official Sonnen fan. By the way, you looked great in the real estate commercial :)" Now, the most important part of the text is that I didn't mention that I am a Silva fan too..
This is the response I got "Thank you, we are going to retire this puke. Glad ur on board."
Now, I'm glad that I got a response other than STOP SENDING ME THINGS!! Its good that he responds to fans but if I weren't so thick skinned I might be a little offended. If you haven't guessed yet this story has no point other than I had to tell someone who actually knows who he is. And to share that lovely bit of madness.

I met James Hatfield from Metallica once… he was a grade A, prize ass. Does that count?

Really?
He seems like a decent guy in Some Kind of Monster.
Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.

Face to face he was an ass. It may have been because I just asked politely for an autograph and didn’t act like a groupie, or maybe I just wasn’t up to his standards as far as chicks he bothered to be nice to. He honestly didn’t even speak to me, though he did scrawl something that I assume was his name on a piece of paper.

Maybe
it’s because you can’t spell his name right. Or maybe it’s because you’re like the 4,373,937th person who has asked for his autograph.
Hadoken!!
Het, Hat, I hate the guy and don’t really care enough to spellcheck his name here. I’ve met several actors and musicians, and never was anyone as rude as he was. The Misfits (minus Danzig) were some of the coolest guys ever, as were Anthrax and several members of Marilyn Manson. I’m going with the ass theory. :)

and maybe he should be grateful to those 4,373,937 people for making him rich and famous.

I messaged him to
I thanked him for beating the english out of silva- and asked him to please retire him next round. he replied “It will be my pleasure!”
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
I replied
“thank you for the reply. you are both a saint and a scholar”
he replied “Accurate”
I replied “I have the precision of a mongoose”
He replied “Apparently so”
I replied “Last text- sorry to be a bother. but when you get a chance google video ‘josh samman ubersmash’ he has deviced a technique i believe youll LOVE. Thanks again Chael”
He replied Holy moly you just blew my mind! Can I fly you into Oregon to be my new son? You are my hero"
ooook, so his last text just said “thank you” lol. he obviously is a busy man, and the fact that he was texting me directly back within seconds, even if short, is a very very awesome thing. I really appreciated his responding.
Now I’ve gotten Chael sonnen, Dana White, AND Joe rogan on the phone ! yaaay!

I'm from NY....
I haven’t met any fighters yet, but I’ve met a bunch of celebrities. Regarding responses from them, it’s gone across the spectrum.
i called that number and i just bought a house in portland from chael. zhit bambuzzled again.
i can honestly say all the mma fighters were quite nice and shook hands with most of them. anderson silva WAS NOT THERE. though.
I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez. Womens MMA, the next big thing in sports. 1 week till the first game of college football. UTAH vs Pitt. September 2nd 2010.

My best meeting was with...
Nate Quarry. We didn’t notice til his lady friend told us, but a line started to form behind me to talk to him (I guess we had a 10+ minute convo about ufc 102 plus I had tons of questions for him)
Meeting Nate somewhat scared me shitless. He’s a nice guy, but standing next to him made me realize that I would probably have to fight at 185 in MMA…. :-/ Prior I always considered myself a very fat welterweight but damned.
Oh yah, he gave me a shirt too. Good stuff

I met
Chris Tucshcerer in Minneapolis he was a cool dude even tho his only claim to fame is being one of Brock’s training partners.

I don't know,
I’ll always remember him for this…

BTW how much do UFC tix cost?
If the UFC ever gets their fat asses to Seattle I’ll be going for sure.
You’d think with the large Asian population and the fact that Bruce Lee is from Seattle, they would get an event here sometime this decade. But noooooooooooooooo.

you did get the Carcass reunion tour while Portland didnt...
if thats any consolation… it would be to me.
50-1000 bucks generally. sometiems 100+ i got 200.00 tickets that were pretty shitty. to get thefirst row of seats off the floor (my best view personally) youd be looking at like 300 bucks. floor tickets tend to be 500+
less you get a fight night or sumtin. they are cheaper

However… I’m goign to be paying a good 300-400 next UFC event thats close for good tickets. so worth it

Honestly, Twitter is one of the best ways to keep up with fighters. A lot of them announce their upcoming fights that way. And it can be pretty amusing, as well.

I should start a poll to vote on the worst nut shot of all time… Josh Barnett unmanning poor Mighty Mo has to be near the top of the list. That one hurt me when I saw it, lol.
