Tattoo of the Week: Toby Imada
Satarma nominated Toby Imada for this week's tattoo of the week. He's apparently got a thing with snakes, as they feature prominently in two of his tattoos. I'm all about the placement of them, but I personally can't get down with anything having to do with snakes. The only thing that scares me more than snakes is carnies (name that movie).
Toby fights Pat Curran for the Bellator lightweight title tomorrow, and we really hope he's able to strike down his opponent. Yes, that really did just happen.

i like snake tattoos. i have one on my forearm with a spitting cobra wrapped around a dagger
btw. curran is going to knockout imada. i like the red one better. the one that wraps around his arm is too big imo.

meh
To both… the just don’t look good to me.
And yes, I hope curran KO’s him and think its possible. But imada could sub him. I think the sub is less likely, as currans mentor jeff is a mean ground fighter, and has trained pat from day one. Plus, ya know imada is good on the ground.. but not a world beater.

I love the arm tat, the colors look beautiful and it’s well done. Even if the whole snake motif doesn’t do much for me… I can totally get into a tattoo that has been skillfully done.
I have no idea who is going to win tomorrow night, what I keep wondering is if either Curran or Imada will be able to beat Alvarez…

i think alverez might beat b.j penn and certainly gilbert melendez if that fight comes to pass
no way curran or imada could do in alverez if he was totally healthy. great striking and super agressive and really good ground game. i watched that fight with neer and he just destroyed him.

ill respectfully disagree
I think shinya showed the world how overrated alvarez is. Would he beat melendez? Possibly. It would beagood fight. Would he beat penn? Hell no. He wouldn’t be able to take him down and he’d get ruined on the feet.
Put him in the ufc and he’d have trouble with the top lightweights. Griffin, edgar, penn, florian, sherk, maynard- all these guys would win more than half the time against alvarez.
But of course we won’t know, cuz as long as he stays out of the shark tank and keep himself looking good, hell stay highly ranked and make bigger payday

i mean shit...
Kikuno gave him everything he could handle and almost took him out the fight before the neer fight, and hes no world beater. and neer? he got cut from theufc for a reason

Austin Powers FTW
Love that line. “Carnies! You know, circus folk……small hands…..smell like cabbage…..”
Anyway, those tats look a little awkward to me, but maybe they’re only supposed to be look right when he has someone in an inverted triangle choke.
