In Stunt Fight News...

Some MMA promoters are fighting to outdo one another with ridiculous matchups of people who have no business being in the cage. Thunder Promotions has thrown their hat in the ring with the DMX vs. Eric Martinez fight on December 12 (we won't even talk about Tank Abbott vs. Butterbean). Many in the hip hop blog community are geeking out to the news, and that's probably what Thunder Promotions was hoping for, but I am so over stunt matchups. It's kind of hard for MMA to take its (deserved) place among mainstream sports when any douchebag with a famous face and anger management problem can get a fight. I will continue to state that this crap undermines the hard work of all the true MMA fighters and promoters out there.
