TUF Heavyweights Finale

Hello again, children. Very exciting day. We went to see the Tim Burton exhibit at MOMA, it snowed, I had Pad Thai and a venti egg nog latte, and now the TUF finale! Could this day be any more awesome? Yes, if Brendan Schaub beats Roy Nelson that would make it much more awesome.

We're jumping right into the fights with Jones vs. Mitrione. I guess I'm going for Big Baby here. Beth put her feelings about Mitrione this way, she doesn't hate him, but she won't be joining his fan club either. We have got to find her an arch nemesis. I'm still astounded by Jones's ground game, considering he's only been fighting for 2 years. Mitrione is looking super heavy and I wonder about his conditioning, which was awful on the show. HOLY SHIT! Mitrione knocks out Big Baby. Jones is going to need to work on his stand-up if he wants to have a shot in MMA.

Edgar vs. Veach - Wow, not really into this fight. I guess it's time to go make the cookies. Ok, ok, so Beth is the one making them. But I digress. Entertaining fight, Frankie Edgar wins with a rear naked choke, which is my personal favorite submission.

This thing is moving ridiculously slow. I always bitch and complain about paying $50 for PPV, but at least we don't have to mess with these awful commercials. Joe Rogan is interviewing Hulk Hogan, and I can't help get the feeling Rogan wants to just have a huge laugh. Aaaaaaand, another commercial.

Mark Bocek vs. Joe Brammer - Really? Can't we just get to Kimbo vs Alexander?

Kimbo vs Alexander - Finally! Kimbo's chest hair is weird. 1 minute in and not one punch. Huh? 3 minutes in for the first punch. Ridiculous. This fight is just f-ing horrible. Again 1 minute into the second round and no punches. Apparently Kimbo has been working on his ground game a bit, and I mean a bit. Fight goes the distance, with Kimbo winning by decision.

Matt Hamill vs. Jon Jones - I like both of these guys, so I don't want to have to pick a winner. I'm guessing this will be the best fight of the night, which isn't saying much. Wow! Jones gets full mount and Hamill is screwed. Uh-oh, downward elbow, and Jones loses the advantage. But it doesn't matter cause Hamill is done. That was extremely brutal. Wooooo! John Jones loses by disqualification. Those illegal elbows were not the reason Hamill lost, and this is a real shame.

Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are the coaches for TUF 11. I thought it was going to be Tito and Forrest, but I'm excited to see Chuckles get back in there.

Open note to Spike. I know you're never going to have a tampon commercial during UFC shows, but Playboy TV? Really?

Schaub vs. Nelson - Go Schaub! If he doesn't win I'm going to be devastated. Aaaaand...I'm devastated. Our boyfriend lost and now we have to watch Roy Nelson on UFC. Tonight sucked.
