Fight Styles: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a fighting style that was derived from Japanese Judo in the early 1900's. BJJ emphasizes ground fighting and submissions. Submissions are gained using various joint manipulation and chocking techniques. Ground fighting stresses maintaining the dominant position, from taking the guard position when on your back to passing your opponent's guard when you're on top for side control and the mount. This video is a great demonstration of BJJ.
